Clarke & Co., Inc. is a landscape, site, and general contractor operating out of Grand Junction, Colorado. We are a fourth generation, family owned corporation that prides itself in the quality and scope of work we offer and the customer satisfaction we have achieved. We are diversified in the construction industry as well as in our geographical presence, having completed work throughout the Southwest. Our corporation is growing rapidly, and we are embracing the excitement of new and unique challenges along the way.
The second arm of Clarke & Co., Inc. is the tree farm division. We grow a wide variety of deciduous and evergreen trees in our fields located near Delta, Colorado, some 40 miles southeast of Grand Junction. Currently we have over 20,000 trees in the ground, and dig bi-annually in the spring and the fall.
Together these two divisions accomplish a synergy we feel is very pertinent to our business, and we proudly offer them to you, our valued customer.

Key people in the Clarke & Co., Inc. family:
Mike Clarke:
Owner and operator for 27 years with over 40 years of experience in the industry. Mike is a 3rd generation landscape contractor, having learned from his father and grandfather, both of whom were nurserymen and landscape contractors. Graduated from Mesa State College in 1980 with a degree in Plant and Animal Science. Aside from construction Mike was a professional Bull rider from 1977 - 1984 , and currently owns Clarke Livestock, a land and cattle business based in Delta Colorado.
Mary Clarke:
Owner and Operator for 27 years and currently the president of Clarke & Co., Inc. Mary is also a graduate of Mesa State College, holding a degree in Plant and Animal Science. Mary is an extremely experienced and uniquely creative designer with an amazing eye for landscape, and the beauty it represents. Mary is an avid horsewoman and co-owns the Clarke Livestock ranch with her husband Mike.
Wacey Clarke:
Wacey is the current Vice President and has been with the company for more than 12 years. He is an experienced foreman, operator, financial officer, estimator, and superintendent. He is a graduate of Trinity University in San Antonio Texas, holding a Finance and Spanish degree. Wacey played football throughout school, and was a two time all conference linebacker in college.
Eli Clarke:
Eli has been with Clarke & Co., Inc. for over 10 years and is an accomplished superintendent, operator, and foreman. Eli was an all-American freestyle wrestler, and is an avid outdoorsman.
BJ Russell:
BJ has been with us for more than 8 years as a foreman, superintendent, and company mechanic. He is a recent graduate of Mesa State College with degrees in marketing and management. While in college, BJ was also a linebacker, earning all-American honors for Mesa State.
Jane Reed:
Jane Reed has been a wonderful addition to Clarke & Co., Inc. and has been with the firm for more than 8 years as secretary and controller. She has a great attitude, and is one of the more helpful people our clients could have the pleasure to deal with.
Jerry Gardner:
Jerry has been with us for more than 20 years and has over 45 years experience in the construction industry. Jerry has literally done everything in construction, from landscape to housing development. He is a licensed and accomplished landscape architect and chief estimator for the firm. Jerry has a wealth of knowledge, and the firm certainly benefits from his experience.
Gene Fowler:
Gene was brought on in 2003 as a superintendent and chief builder for Clarke & Co., Inc. He brings an abundance of knowledge and experience to the firm, and has proved his prowess with the recent construction of a full service marina on Navajo Lake, a demanding project that Gene steered from beginning to end.
Amie Salazar:
Amie has been with the firm for 5 years now as a superintendent and foreman. He is a great field guy, and has been the superintendent on many projects including the Holy Family School, Canyon View Park, and is currently heading up the Gateway Canyons project. Amie is a licensed irrigation Tech Level 2.
Miles Kochevar:
Miles is a recent graduate of Colorado State University in Ft. Collins. He had worked for Clarke & Co., Inc. before traveling to college, and we are glad to see him return. While in school Miles was a three year letterman and two year starter for the CSU Rams, and the teams leading tackler his senior year.
